Delete your My Choli On Rent account

This page explains how users of My Choli On Rent (the mobile app and related services listed on Google Play under the same name) can request deletion of their account and associated personal data.

How to request account deletion

Follow these steps:

  1. Send an email from the same email address registered on your My Choli On Rent account to support@cholionrent.com.
  2. Use the subject line: Account deletion — My Choli On Rent (you can use the link above to pre-fill it).
  3. In the body of the email, state clearly that you want your account deleted and include your registered phone number so we can verify your identity. If your account email is different from the address you are sending from, say so and we may ask for additional verification.
  4. We will confirm receipt and process your request after verifying ownership of the account. Processing typically completes within 30 days of verification unless a longer period is required by law or exceptional circumstances (we will notify you if so).

What we delete

After your request is verified, we will delete or irreversibly anonymize:

  • Your user account credentials and profile information (name, photo, location fields you added).
  • Your favorites and account-level preferences associated with the account.
  • Your listings and listing photos you uploaded, where applicable.
  • Chat messages and in-app content that can be removed without breaking legitimate interests of other users (see below).

What we may keep (and for how long)

  • Residual backups: Data may persist in encrypted backups for a limited period (typically up to 90 days) until those backups roll off. After that window, restored copies are treated per your deletion request.
  • Records tied to other users: Where another party relied on a transaction (for example a completed booking), we may retain minimal non-identifying records or anonymized aggregates required for dispute resolution, fraud prevention, or accounting — not in a form that identifies you after deletion is complete.
  • Legal holds: We may retain certain information if required to comply with law, court order, or governmental request, or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. When the obligation ends, we delete or anonymize that information consistent with this policy.

Delete some data without deleting your account

If you want specific personal data removed or corrected but wish to keep using My Choli On Rent, contact us at support@cholionrent.com with your request. We will respond in line with applicable privacy laws.
